Hi! My name’s Dave.

I have been both a player and a Dungeon Master since the “redbox” set came out in the 1980’s. Since then, I have always kept up with the Dungeons & Dragons community and followed through all the editions: 2e, 3e, 3.5e, 4e, and the current 5e. After a brief hiatus, I returned to being a dungeon master in March of 2019, and have quickly risen to recognition at multiple venues and conventions. I currently am comfortable leading games for Adventure’s League Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3, as well as in certain areas such as Eberon and Avernus.
I have worked with adults and kids alike and am comfortable with beginner players that have never played before, as well as experienced players looking for adventure and fun. I’m known for my entertaining ways of presenting material, quirky style, and willingness to allow players to get into all sorts of shenanigans and situations, limited only by their own creativity. I issue fair rulings, and always tend to err to the advantage of a player. No one likes a DM whose only goal is to kill the party!
I am proud that I have built a reputation in the area for always putting on a great adventure. This includes hours of prep work, reading and highlighting the module, and creating or finding detailed maps. I feel that the RPG experience is heightened by visual aids, so I strive to always have maps, scenery, and minis ready to make things a great gaming experience for everyone at my table. I even had a bit of fun using candy as monsters – you get to eat what you kill! I even occasionally involve sound in my games to heighten the tension of a battle, or add some comedy.
I have over 40+ hours of Dungeon Master experience at local conventions recently. I’ve lead tables for Tier 1 and Tier 2, and even for Epic multi-table adventures. When not running a table, I can usually be found mustering tables or helping staff with administrative tasks. I’m always willing to help a convention run smoothly and ensure that players and fellow DMs have a great experience.
When not Dungeon Mastering, or prepping modules, you can usually find me in my wood shop, where I craft artisan, hand crafter RPG accessories out of wood.
